Hello, my baby. You are now a very big 10 months old.
We had a busy month between traveling to Montana to see your grandparents, dealing with your first real cold, and then going up north to a cabin near Duluth. You were a trooper through it all.
Ooh - sorry I just called you a trooper. I'll try not to do that again. Someday you will see that parenting inspires you to say all sorts of crazy words. Anyway! What else is new? You started sleeping through the night for 10-11 hours and that is just fantastic. Your insistence on waking up around 5:15 AM is not so fantastic, but once I drag myself out of bed and come rescue you from your crib, I can't help but smile when I see your bright and cheery face.
Lots of new baby tricks this month. My favorite would probably be the pointing. It's so fun to actively see what you are thinking.
Then this past week you had an eruption of other baby skills: giving kisses, holding your hands above your head 'so big' style, feeding us food, handing me things, and clapping.
Oh! And how could I forget? You have started to stand on your own for several seconds at a time. I can hardly believe it when you do it.
I swear that you waited until your Daddy was home on vacation to whip out all these new skills. Thank you for that, Chicken. I know it meant a lot to him.
I love you so much, you magical little girl.
Love,
Mama
